Heavy rain
A weathered night
A cold downpour turns the roads to mud. Your own people slog through it; the raiders, who came ready for it, don't slow down.
- Effect
- Your lord and soldiers move about a quarter slower and take about a third longer between strikes.
- Warning
- A sign with a red exclamation mark appears next to the night counter the day before.
- On the map
- Rain streaks over the map, and a small raindrop hangs over your lord and every soldier while it slows them.
- Comes in
- Outer Kakheti
Notes
Rain was the bane of flintlock muskets: wet powder in the pan would not fire, and soaked bowstrings lost their snap. Armies of the 18th century fought slower in it, or not at all.
