Eklesia

The church

The village church. If it falls, the raid succeeds, just as with the Sasakhle. Pay for a Tsirva here and your soldiers fight harder until dawn.

History

Eklesia (ეკლესია) means church. Churches and monasteries kept silver plate, icons and stores of grain, and were among the richest targets of a raid. This is why so many churches in Kakheti, such as Nekresi, Gremi and Alaverdi, stand inside fortress walls.

Tsirva (წირვა) is the Divine Liturgy of the Georgian Orthodox Church. Armies went to war with their priests, and prayer before battle was part of it. In the game a Tsirva blesses your soldiers for one night, and costs twice as much each time.
